Fall Data Challenge: First Look at the Dataset

Students, are you ready for the Fall Data Challenge? Gather your team, the challenge opens this Monday, October 11. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, November 7, at 11:59 PM EST.

We’ve just released the dataset, so you can take your first look at it now! Here are the resources to start with:

Read the ‘Getting Started’ Guide
The guide offers an introduction to the dataset and its components that you definitely don’t want to miss, including an interactive visual overview, the judging rubric, and some resources on data analysis from top data scientists.

Download the Dataset
Now that you’re oriented, you’re ready to jump into the data. TIP: To work with a smaller dataset for your analysis, pick a single state to focus on.

Check out the full contest rules and get all the details for what to include in your team’s submission.
